The Russians are ready to support both the cessation of the military operation and the new offensive

According to a poll by the Russian Field sociological service, which Kommersant has, 65% of Russians would approve of Vladimir Putin’s decision to stop the military operation in Ukraine and sign a peace agreement. At the same time, 60% of respondents would also support the president’s intention to launch a “new attack on Kyiv.”
The study was conducted by telephone survey on July 28–31. It was attended by 1609 respondents in eight federal districts.
As the survey showed, 59% of Russians believe that the military operation in Ukraine has dragged on. The opposite opinion is shared by 28% of the survey participants. According to 30%, hostilities will last more than a year, 18% expect them to end within a year. Almost two-thirds of the men surveyed (62%) are not ready to personally take part in hostilities in Ukraine if they have the opportunity.
