The head of the Patriarchal Commission on Family Issues, Priest Fyodor Lukyanov, said that initiatives to limit abortion are based on concern for women, RIA Novosti reports.
According to the clergyman, he does not know “a single woman who would regret and become depressed after the birth of a child.”
At the same time, the head of the commission noted that abortions, on the contrary, lead to “the most severe moral and spiritual trauma.”
It was previously reported that the State Duma is discussing the issue of excluding abortions from the services of private clinics. The corresponding bill may be introduced in the near future, noted deputy Dmitry Gusev.
