The Russian Ministry of Defense has prepared project, which provides for clarification of the procedure for returning servicemen of the Airborne Forces (Airborne Forces) to service after being wounded. To this end, the department proposes to amend the instructions for sending military personnel for medical examination.
The document developed by the ministry is currently undergoing public discussions. It is noted that the project is aimed at “reducing the time it takes for contract soldiers serving in the Airborne Forces, who were discharged from the hospital after injury, injury or illness, to return to service.”
Paratroopers who have been wounded, concussed or maimed, before returning to service and receiving a new position, will undergo a medical examination, which will determine their suitability for a particular military specialty. After this, the Airborne Forces fighters will be able to return to the active forces to carry out combat missions. Currently, the algorithm for returning paratroopers to service after injury is not spelled out in detail in the legislation, the Ministry of Defense clarifies.
“As part of the implementation of the federal law of February 26, 1997, 31-FZ “On mobilization training and mobilization in the Russian Federation,” there is no need to examine military personnel undergoing military service under a contract in the Airborne Forces to determine the fitness category for a specific military specialty.” , says the developed document.
