Petersburg athlete Vovk manually towed the SSJ-100 aircraft by 10 meters at the Sochi airport
The RBC Telegram channel, citing the Sochi airport, reported that Denis Vovk, an athlete from St. Petersburg, managed to manually tow the Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft at the airport.
It is noted that the movement of an aircraft weighing 32.1 tons in the “arm-over-arm” technique for 10 meters took Vovk 42 seconds. Thus, the athlete set a world record in the category up to 90 kilograms, as well as an absolute record in Russia.
Earlier, Vovk set a track-pool world record by towing an Airbus A-319 aircraft weighing 40.57 tons by 4 meters and 32 centimeters in 52 seconds.
