The Moscow Prosecutor’s Office recalled responsibility for calls for and participation in uncoordinated mass events. In the capital today, February 3, an action is taking place in the Alexander Garden, timed to coincide with the 500th day of mobilization.
According to the prosecutor’s office, calls for participation “in a public action in the center of Moscow” were posted on the Internet, including on social networks. The department does not provide the location of the event or other details.
“The specified mass event was not agreed upon with the city executive authorities in the manner prescribed by law,” says a press release from the prosecutor’s office in Telegram.
The action was organized by the movement of mobilized wives “The Way Home”. According to channel estimates “Caution, news”, about 200 people gathered. The channel writes that there is a paddy wagon parked not far from the Alexander Garden, and dozens of police officers are on duty at the scene. Also, unknown people came to the rally and filmed their wives and journalists.
President Vladimir Putin announced partial mobilization on September 21, 2022. On October 31 of the same year, he announced its end, but did not sign a separate decree. War correspondent Alexander Sladkov assertsthat Mr. Putin made a decision on the participation of those mobilized until the end of the military operation.
