The bailiffs of Bashkiria seized and turned into state revenue the property and funds of the ex-head of the interdistrict registration and examination department (MREO) of the traffic police Ildus Shaibakov and his relatives.
As became known “Lente.ru”two cars, an apartment (45.2 sq m), two non-residential premises (263.9 and 284 sq m), 60 thousand dollars, part of the share of non-residential premises and 30.9 thousand rubles were confiscated from the “golden traffic cop” and his relatives.
Shaibakov and his relatives were unable to provide evidence of legal acquisition of all this. It is reported that the owners of the cars handed them over to the bailiffs only after they were warned about the search and arrest of the cars.
Shaibakov, his deputy and five other inspectors are accused of taking 33 bribes. Investigators believe that since 2016 they have been issuing licenses without actually taking exams for money. The suspects managed to “earn” over one billion rubles. They found property worth 40 million rubles.
Shaibakov tried to hide from the investigation, but was detained on August 15, 2022.
