During the Army-2022 forum, the Rubin design bureau presented a concept design for a new generation nuclear submarine (NPS) Arktur. According to Rubin representatives, the boat will be 20% smaller than modern missile carriers and will be able to carry “uninhabited vehicles of various classes.”
“The Arcturus will have a better understanding of the environment, detect the enemy earlier and better evade attacks … thanks to the change in architecture, the Arcturus will have 20% less displacement than modern missile carriers. Its length will be 134 m, width – 15.7 m, crew size – about 100 people, ”said the representative of Rubin “RIA News”. He did not specify at what stage of development the nuclear submarine is and in what time frame it can enter service.
At the Army-2022 forum, held from August 15 to 21 in Kubinka near Moscow, defense concerns and design bureaus present new models and projects of military equipment, many of which, according to their developers, have no analogues in the world.
