The chairman of the board of the all-Russian organization “Officers of Russia”, reserve lieutenant colonel Roman Shkurlatov, said that the preservation of wages and jobs for both contract soldiers and volunteers located in the Northern Military District zone should be ensured by legislation.
The officer, in a conversation with RIA Novosti, noted that a person who worked at the enterprise and signed a contract to be sent to the Northern Military District zone as a military personnel retains his job and salary. But citizens who volunteer for the Northern Military District do not have such a privilege today.
According to Shkurlatov, it is necessary to amend the legislation so that the same legal mechanism applies to volunteers, so that they do not lose their jobs and receive the monetary allowance they retain.
