The details of the murder of 9 people in the village of Psotino, Lukhovitsky district and the city of Ryazhsk, Ryazan region, committed 20 years ago, have become known. The reason for such a serious crime is banal jealousy.

It should be reminded that on February 9, 2002, the bodies of seven people hacked to death with an ax were found in two neighboring houses of the village. Five people died in one house – two men, two women (one was pregnant) and an 8-year-old girl. In the other – retired spouses. On February 10, a very similar murder of two pensioners was committed in the city of Ryazhsk in the neighboring Ryazan region. The handwriting suggested that the same person was operating.

A 39-year-old resident of the Moscow region and his 38-year-old friend were suspected of the murder. But it was not possible to prove their involvement in the crime.

And so the investigators managed to get on the trail of the killers. Not so long ago, it was decided to send a bottle with fingerprints seized at the crime scene for additional examination. This was done 20 years ago, but then the experts did not find fingerprint data in the database. And now they “shot”, pointing to a specific person.

The detectives raided the killer’s house in the village of Grigoropolisskaya early in the morning on July 3, while he was sleeping peacefully in his one-story brick house. In addition to him, there were only elderly retired parents in the house – an 83-year-old father and a 76-year-old mother. The parasite son lived at their expense and did not even think about getting a job.

The 49-year-old killer immediately made contact with the investigation and laid out everything, also handing over his accomplice, who was detained a month later. The reason for the massacre turned out to be banal – jealousy. The detainee with an accomplice that fateful day was invited to a picnic. His cohabitant was present at the celebration of life, whom the killer was jealous of – it seemed to him that the woman wanted to leave him. Taking an ax in his hands, he coolly dealt with her and the whole company, including the child. Then the “butchers” eliminated a couple from a neighboring house who saw them at a party. The next day, the two of them killed two more people in the city of Ryazhsk (there was a usual drunken conflict) and fled in different directions. The suspect also confessed to another murder in Moscow in 2002.

According to Olga Vradiy, senior assistant to the head of the Main Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee for the Moscow Region, the detainees were charged with the murder of nine people, including a child, by a group of persons in order to conceal another crime. They are taken into custody. An evidence base is being collected on the fact of the murder in Moscow, and the criminal cases will be merged.
