The Prosecutor General’s Office demanded to ban three Ukrainian nationalist organizations

Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov filed a lawsuit in court to recognize three Ukrainian nationalist associations as extremist and to ban them on Russian territory. The Supreme Court (SC) will hear the suit behind closed doors on September 8.
As Interfax was told in the press service of the court, it is about the public organization SICH-C14, the nationalist association “Volunteer Movement of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists” (OUN, banned in Russia) and the nationalist group “Black Committee”.
Group C14 (“Sich”) is a paramilitary right-wing radical group created in 2010 in Kyiv. C14 members took an active part in Euromaidan. Since 2014, the battalion has been operating as part of a military operation in the Donbass. In 2017, Sich was included in the American terrorist base.
The OUN battalion is a Ukrainian armed formation that participated in the conflict in the Donbass. In 2015, the unit was disarmed and withdrawn from the combat zone, and the members of the battalion refused to become subordinate to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Later, on the basis of the OUN, the political organization “OUN Volunteer Movement” was created.
The Black Committee is a public organization founded in 2009. During the Euromaidan, they joined the Right Sector banned in Russia. In 2014, members of Cherkom as part of the national battalions, including in the ranks of Azov, took part in the operation in the Donbass.
Previously, the Supreme Court on the suit of the Prosecutor General’s Office acknowledged Ukrainian regiment “Azov” as a terrorist organization and banned its activities in Russia. Members of this organization are subject to criminal liability. Creators and leaders are punished with imprisonment for a term of 15 to 20 years with a fine of up to 1 million rubles, ordinary participants – for a term of five to ten years with a fine of up to 500 thousand rubles. It should be noted that in the DPR, they plan to organize a military tribunal for the captured Azov fighters, which can sentence them to death.
