The Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation, by court decision, included in scroll banned and liquidated organizations, the formally non-existent “International LGBT Social Movement” (recognized by the Ministry of Justice as extremist; banned in the Russian Federation). The list also includes its structural divisions.

The Ministry of Justice included the “International LGBT Social Movement” on the list by decision of the Supreme Court of November 30, 2023. The law banning LGBT propaganda on the Internet, media, books, audiovisual services, cinema and advertising has been in effect in Russia since December 2022.

In February, a court fined Saratov resident Inna Mosina for three publications with a rainbow flag, finding her guilty of displaying extremist symbols. The posts were made several years ago – long before the “international LGBT movement” was banned in Russia as extremist.

More details in the material “Bad prospects”.
