Ministry of Justice October 13 replenished a list of foreign agents, including 12 Russian citizens, including the former vice-president of Gazprombank Igor Volobuev, who is fighting on the side of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the head of the human rights project “Sitting Rus’” (included in the list of foreign agents) Olga Romanova and a journalist, former deputy editor-in-chief of “Moskovsky” Komsomol member” Aider Muzhdabaev.

The department also declared as foreign agents the economist, ex-candidate for the State Duma from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Vladislav Zhukovsky, the host of the YouTube channel “Popular Politics” Elena Malakhovskaya, St. Petersburg journalist Sergei Kovalchenko, blogger Andrei Rudoy, ​​journalist Andrei Sidelnikov, activist Vitaly Votanovsky, representative of the Nogai national movement Anvar Kurmanakaev , as well as ex-coordinators of “Navalny’s Headquarters” (recognized as extremist organizations and banned in the Russian Federation) in Tambov and Vologda Diana Rudova and Evgeniy Domozhirov.

The Ministry of Justice provides the following grounds for recognizing the mentioned persons as foreign agents:

• Igor Volobuev actively interacted with foreign media and foreign agents, disseminated false information about the decisions taken by public authorities of the Russian Federation and the policies pursued by them. Carried out actions aimed at creating a negative image of the Russian Federation and the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
• Olga Romanova took part in the creation and dissemination of messages and materials from foreign agents to an unlimited number of people, and disseminated false information about the decisions taken by public authorities of the Russian Federation and the policies pursued by them. Participated as a respondent on information platforms provided by foreign structures, received support from a foreign source. Lives outside the Russian Federation.
• Aider Muzhdabaev spoke in support of the Ukrainian authorities, including taking actions to raise funds for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Carried out actions aimed at creating a negative image of the Russian Federation. He disseminated false information about the actions of government bodies of the Russian Federation, the policies they pursue and the decisions they make. He spoke negatively about the Russian Federation, its citizens and government bodies. Actively interacted with foreign sources and persons included in the register of foreign agents.
• Vladislav Zhukovsky took part in the creation and dissemination of messages and materials from foreign agents to an unlimited number of people. He disseminated false information about the decisions taken by public authorities of the Russian Federation and the policies they pursue, and received support from foreign sources.
• Elena Malakhovskaya took part in the creation and dissemination of messages and materials from foreign agents to an unlimited number of people. She disseminated false information about the decisions taken by public authorities of the Russian Federation and the policies they pursue, as well as about the actions of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. Lives outside the Russian Federation.
• Sergei Kovalchenko distributed messages and materials from foreign agents to an unlimited number of people, and used foreign platforms to disseminate false information about the decisions made by public authorities of the Russian Federation and the policies they pursue. He openly supported the Ukrainian authorities. Lives outside the Russian Federation.
