The Ministry of Justice declared businessman Leonid Nevzlin and politician Mikhail Lobanov foreign agents

On June 23, the Ministry of Justice of Russia submitted to scroll foreign agents seven people and one organization. Among those declared foreign agents are philanthropist, ex-head of Yukos Leonid Nevzlin, Moscow City Duma deputy Yevgeny Stupin, Moscow politician, associate professor of Moscow State University Mikhail Lobanov, science journalist Ilya Kolmanovsky.

The Ministry of Justice gives the following justifications for entering these persons into the register:

• Leonid Nevzlin took part in the creation and dissemination of materials by foreign agents, spoke out against the special operation in Ukraine, “distributed false information about the decisions taken by public authorities”, “came out in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine”;
• Yevgeny Stupin “distributed unreliable information about the decisions made by public authorities and their policies”, opposed the special operation in Ukraine;
• Mikhail Lobanov participated in the creation of materials for foreign agents, spoke out against the special operation in Ukraine, “spread false information about decisions made by public authorities”;
• Ilya Kolmanovsky “spread unreliable information about the decisions made by public authorities and their policies”, “identified the Russian Federation with a terrorist organization”, “has spoken negatively about the citizens of the Russian Federation, financed organizations that support the Armed Forces of Ukraine”;
• Human rights activist Oleksandr Belik participated in the creation of materials of foreign agents, “carried out activities to promote LGBT relations”, spoke out against the special operation in Ukraine, “received support from foreign sources”;
• Politician Victor Bovar participated in the dissemination of materials by foreign agents, “as well as false information about the decisions made by public authorities of the Russian Federation and their policies”, opposed the special operation in Ukraine;
• Professor Ruslan Latypov spoke out against the special operation in Ukraine, “spread false information about the decisions made by public authorities”, participated in the creation of materials for foreign agents;
• The Action Community Center distributed materials by foreign agents, “carried out activities to promote LGBT relations”, “disseminated false information about the decisions made by public authorities of the Russian Federation and their policies”;
• The “Movement of Conscious Objectors” (a human rights project that provides assistance to conscientious objectors) “spread false information about decisions made by public authorities”, participated in the distribution of materials of foreign agents, and opposed the special operation in Ukraine.
