The authorities of Rome have decided to open to tourists a part of the historic center that was previously closed to the public. It is reported that now those who wish will be able to visit the alleged site of the assassination of Julius Caesar in Torre Argentina Square.
In this part of the ancient complex there are four temples of the 3rd century BC. as well as the remains of the Theater of Pompey, near which, according to legend, the conspirators attacked the ruler in 44 BC.
Until now, it was possible to view this part of the ruins only from afar, from the height of a modern street located above the ancient square. Now there is a footpath leading to the place of worship.
