Today in Russia there is no shortage of offset inks for printing books. The Prime agency writes about this, referring to the statement of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
The department said that now the demand of the domestic market for this product is covered thanks to Asian countries and other partners in the framework of parallel imports. In addition, the Ministry of Industry and Trade emphasized that Russia has its own manufacturer, Polygraphic Inks.
“The consumption of printing inks in Russia is approximately 48,000 tons, of which only about 12,000 tons are offset inks (for printing newspapers and books),” the department concluded.
The specialists also stated that there were no logistical difficulties in the course of supplies of foreign-made threads for book binding. At the same time, some printing houses use Russian products for this, the quality of which also meets the requirements of organizations.
Earlier, the RBC group, referring to representatives of the First Model Printing House and Pareto-Print, wrote that it was still unrealistic to replace European inks and threads for books.
