The Ministry of Health proposed creating a register of patients with common diseases

The Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation has published a draft federal register of citizens with the most common groups of diseases. The department explained this by the need to provide them with prompt medical care. The register will contain general information about patients, SNILS, compulsory medical insurance policies, passport data, birth certificates, place of work or study, and information about disability.
The document was published on the federal project portal regulations. The Ministry of Health told reporters that the register is an information resource that allows for the rapid exchange of information that is necessary “to provide medical care to patients for the most common groups of diseases, between various medical organizations” (quoted by TASS).
The register will be integrated with other information systems of the Ministry of Health, the Federal Compulsory Health Insurance Fund and other departments. “The register will use the information already available in these systems, which will ensure its operation without complicating the work and additional actions of medical workers, as well as a high degree of information security within the unified state information system in the field of healthcare,” the department said in a statement.
As Kommersant previously reported, the Aida diagnostic assistant will appear in all adult clinics in Moscow by the end of September. It will help internists and general practitioners in making a final diagnosis based on the patient’s electronic medical record data for the last two years.
