Investigative Committee: officials may be charged with negligence after the beating of a girl by migrant children in Nizhny Tagil

The Investigative Committee of Russia is conducting a procedural check on the grounds of a crime under Article 293 of the Criminal Code (negligence) after the events in Nizhny Tagil. This was reported in the official Telegram channel of the department.

The Investigative Committee clarified that as part of the inspection, the actions of officials of the education system, the territorial commission for minors and other prevention bodies will be assessed.

Earlier it was reported about an emergency that occurred on December 29 at school No. 56. According to preliminary information, fifth-grader brothers Rashad and Kamal, in the presence of their mother Fergana, hit a boy and also beat an orphan girl. She was taken to the hospital with a closed head injury and blunt abdominal trauma. A criminal case under Article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm) was opened a few days later, when the media and bloggers began writing about the incident.

In the coming days, police officers plan to submit a proposal to the court to place the Azerbaijani brothers in a temporary detention center for minors

According to the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee for the Sverdlovsk Region, the first criminal case has now been transferred for further investigation to the 3rd Department for Investigation of Particularly Important Cases.

It is also reported that the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has placed the criminal case of beating of minors under control.
