The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case under articles of organizing mass riots and using violence against a government official after an unauthorized rally in Baymak near the courthouse.
During the riots, several citizens were injured, including law enforcement officers, the department noted.
The day before, a Bashkir court sentenced activist Fail Alchinov (included in the Rosfinmonitoring list of extremists and terrorists) to 4 years. He was found guilty of inciting hatred on ethnic grounds. According to the investigation, the defendant insulted Caucasians and Central Asians.
After this, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the republic drew attention to calls on the Internet for an unauthorized rally near the court in Baymak, local publications reported about arrests.
