The Indian Space Agency has released the first image taken from the Vikram lander of the Chandrayaan-3 lunar mission.
The image shows the surface of the moon up close. Also posted a photo in the process of landing.
The Indian apparatus on Wednesday successfully landed on the South Pole of the Earth’s satellite. Thus, India became the fourth country (after the USSR, the USA and China) to land a device on the Moon, and the first country to do so at the South Pole.
The Indian spacecraft was launched to the moon on July 14, and on August 5 it entered the orbit of the satellite.
