Chairman of the National Anti-Corruption Committee, Kirill Kabanov, criticized the idea of using artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in the process of hiring civil servants. In his opinion, AI currently does not exist in a general sense.
On air Radio “Komsomolskaya Pravda” Kabanov said: “I believe that this is just an attempt to make money on such a creative project.”
In addition, Kabanov noted that he has no idea “by what criteria the selection will be carried out.”
He noted that some narrow specialists may be rejected due to other parameters, and they may be deemed unsuitable by the AI. At the same time, a broader specialist can easily pass the “test” when applying for a job.
However, as practice shows, broad specialists are usually people who do not have any special skills, Kabanov emphasized.
The expert explained that this approach could lead to the hiring of individuals who would not be able to make any significant contribution to the public service.
Earlier it was reported that in Russia an experiment will be launched to recruit employees for the civil service using neural networks. A recruiting platform with AI technology will be created by the Ministry of Digital Development. It automates the processes of selection, professional development, motivation, evaluation of officials, the formation of a professional culture and combating corruption.
