The Hill: American youth are disillusioned with the USA and democracy
[ad_1]
American youth are disappointed with their country and democracy, according to The Hill.
The results of a Harvard Institute study are cited, according to which the number of young people who believe that democracy in the country is either “in trouble” or has “failed” is 52%. Only 7% of young people surveyed consider the situation with democracy in the country to be healthy.
However, only 23% of young Americans among respondents are proud of their country, while among older people this figure is 55%.
The Hill believes that the current generation of young people grew up in a period of acute crises, and now the situation in the United States is extremely difficult in terms of violence, racism, the problem of homelessness, etc.
