The governor of the Saratov region Roman Busargin said that in the early morning in Engels there were no incidents in residential areas, the civil infrastructure was not damaged. He stated this in his Telegram channel.
“Dear residents, information about a loud bang and an outbreak in Engels in the early morning is spreading on social networks and the media. I want to assure you that no emergencies occurred in the residential areas of the city. There is no cause for concern,” Busargin said in the text of the message.
At the same time, he stressed that information about incidents at military facilities is currently being checked by the security forces.
On Monday morning, the media reported that an explosion had occurred at the airfield in Engels. A video was also posted, but there has been no official confirmation of this yet.
