The head of the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation reported to Putin about the work for the year

The head of the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation, Anna Tsivileva, at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, reported to him on the organization’s work for the year. The fund was created on April 3, 2023 and began working in all regions of the country in June.

“We help guys who return from a special military operation to socialize and return to civilian life. In addition, the families of fallen soldiers are among our circle of help,” said Messrs. Tsivileva (quoted from website Kremlin).

According to the head of Defenders of the Fatherland, when creating the fund, they used the experience of other countries in working with participants in hostilities. She added that during the year the organization received 910 thousand complaints, of which 780 thousand have already been resolved.

The foundation’s website says that its tasks include medical rehabilitation of combatants, psychological assistance and their social adaptation. Vladimir Putin announced the creation of “Defenders of the Fatherland” in his message to the Federal Assembly in February 2023; he signed the decree on the creation of the fund on April 3.
