There is no risk of the plague spreading in Russia. The head of Rospotrebnadzor, Anna Popova, told RIA Novosti.
According to her, the department is doing everything to prevent the spread of the plague in Russia. There are no risks today.
Earlier, a patient suspected of being infected with bubonic plague was registered on the Russian border in Mongolia.
Popova noted that Rospotrebnadzor constantly interacts with Mongolian specialists, carries out enhanced sanitary and quarantine control and uses the Perimeter system.
All natural outbreaks are monitored jointly with foreign colleagues, noted the head of Rospotrebnadzor.
