Nutritionist Veronika Gusakova, on Channel Five, urged people to be very careful about their diet in the fall and limit the consumption of a number of products.

According to her, you should refrain from consuming sweet soda, cookies, candies, packaged juices, baked goods and ready-made breakfasts. This is due to the high sugar content in these products, the expert said.

According to Gusakova, the share of the daily sugar intake should not exceed 5–10% of the daily calorie intake. She also called for eliminating alcohol and noted that the type and volume of alcohol consumed does not matter to the liver, since the detoxification process will begin in any case.

The nutritionist also called for reducing salty intake, as such foods cause swelling and reduce physical activity. Among such products she named sausages, cheeses and canned goods.

Gusakova recommended drinking no more than two to three cups of coffee a day, and among foods, pay special attention to warm drinks and soups, which will help ensure thermoregulation of the body.
