Krymenergo and other services are “giving 100%” to restore power supply in Crimea as soon as possible. The head of the region, Sergei Aksenov, spoke about this on Friday, December 1.
The politician apologized to the Crimeans for the fact that after the devastating storm on the peninsula, “they were unable to stabilize the situation within two days.” He assured that employees of public utilities and emergency services are working hard, “people fall in some cases.”
Aksenov also noted that “the scale of destruction in terms of power supply lines is the largest in all measurement periods that I can remember.”
Earlier, the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation stated that the rapid restoration of power supply in Crimea was hampered by difficult weather conditions. Also, the work of power engineers is hampered by shelling of Russian energy facilities in the Kherson region and the ban on carrying out work in the dark.
In Crimea, as of Friday morning, December 1, more than 1.6 thousand subscribers remained without electricity. At the same time, to resolve the water supply issue, the authorities organized the supply of drinking water for the population.
