The Governor of Yamal went to the tundra for an informational detox – Kommersant

The head of Yamal, Dmitry Artyukhov, went to the tundra for two days to “recharge with the energy of nature” and arrange an information detox after a “busy working weekend.” Artyukhov announced this in his Telegram channel.

“I decided to repeat last year’s experience – to get out for a couple of days in the tundra. It is necessary to recharge with the energy of nature, to touch the age-old wisdom of our indigenous peoples, to communicate with the elders in order to decide how else to improve the life of the northerners,” he said.

Mr. Artyukhov also shared that he went on a trip together with the Arctic traveler Bogdan Bulychev. The head of Yamal met the traveler at the last SPIEF-2023. During a trip to the tundra, they plan to communicate with the indigenous nomadic population. In particular, they will visit the large nomadic Venego family, which now stands in the foothills of the Polar Urals.

On June 24, during the armed rebellion of the Wagner PMC, Governor Artyukhov turned to the natives of Yamal, who served as part of a private company. In his Telegram channel, Artyukhov urged them to “not follow criminal orders,” “be on the side of the law,” and “follow the orders of the Supreme Commander.” Evgeny Prigozhin was called by Mr. Artyukhov a “Judas” and a “criminal”.

The armed rebellion of PMC “Wagner” began on the night of June 23 and ended on the evening of June 24 following the results of negotiations between Yevgeny Prigozhin and President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko. As the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov reported, the case initiated against Mr. Prigozhin will be closed, and he himself will “leave” to Belarus.
