The government commission supported the bill on the right of bailiffs to use weapons

The Government Commission on Legislative Activities approved a bill according to which it is proposed to give all bailiffs the right to use physical force and firearms.

According to current laws, only bailiffs can resort to force, special means and weapons to ensure the established order of the courts. The new bill assumes that, under certain conditions, other bailiffs will be able to use this right. They will be required to undergo special training, and at least once a year – testing for suitability for such actions.

The document states that bailiffs must use force in proportion to the nature and degree of danger of the offense and the strength of the resistance provided. The priest must warn of the intention to use force or use a weapon, and then provide sufficient time to comply with the requirements.
