A congestion on the Selenga River and rising water levels caused a night evacuation from the Kolos gardening partnership in the Baikal region of Buryatia.
According to the regional headquarters of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, an airborne group of rescuers and firefighters took part in the evacuation. 23 people, including three children, were taken from the flooding site. According to preliminary estimates, 420 houses were flooded in SNT.
Earlier, the head of Buryatia, Alexey Tsydenov, said that due to a traffic jam on Selenga, more than two dozen people were evacuated from the Ivolginsky district.
