“The goalkeeper finished the match without a leg” – head coach of HC Sochi after the defeat to Dynamo

Sochi hockey players on their ice conceded in Dynamo Minsk in the KHL calendar match with a score of 4:7.

– We didn’t get into the game in the first minutes. Then it started to work out, but, unfortunately, Max Tretyak was injured. Then a young goalkeeper from the MHL, who had just arrived, came out and was also injured. You could say I finished the match without a leg. That’s why we had such a difficult situation today,” Sochi head coach summed up at the post-match press conference. Dmitry Kokorev.

Experienced Maxim Tretyak started the game in goal for the Leopards, but already in the 31st second of the match he missed the puck from the American striker Sam Enas. At the beginning of the second minute of the meeting, Tretyak received a two-minute suspension for delaying the game. According to the rules of hockey, a field player went to serve the fine instead. And at the end of the third minute, Tretyak was unable to continue the match due to injury.

He was replaced by 20-year-old Nikita Tulinov, for whom it was his debut in the Kontinental Hockey League. In the third period, the Sochi team tied the score 4:4 for a long time. But then, with an interval of 8 seconds, the guests scored 2 goals. At the last minute, the 6th field player came on instead of Tulinov, but the Minsk team managed to hit the empty goal of the “leopards”. Out of 32 shots on his own goal, Tulinov, who was also injured, saved 28. The nature of the young goalkeeper’s injury is not reported.

On January 3, the Sochi team will also meet with Metallurg Magnitogorsk at the Bolshoi. The meeting starts at 17.00.
