The free ice complex “Winter Tale” operates on Khimikov Square in Cherepovets

The PhosAgro company made a gift to all Cherepovets residents for the New Year holidays. On Khimikov Square there is a free ice complex “Winter Tale” and the largest spruce tree in the city. Hundreds of citizens, as well as representatives of local authorities, took part in the opening ceremony.
The area of the skating rink is 780 square meters. Sound equipment and a large LED screen are installed here. The perimeter of the rink is illuminated, and with the help of a professional ice-filling machine, specialists regularly carry out ice maintenance.
Nearby there is a free equipment rental point: skates of different sizes, safety helmets, and children’s training aids. Here visitors will be able to leave things in automatic storage rooms.
Next to the sports ground there is a Christmas tree 19 meters high. In Cherepovets it became the highest. We decorated the forest beauty with gold and white balls and snowflakes with a dynamic effect. An LED tent and light consoles are also installed on the square. Another art object is the two-meter figures “2024”.

And thanks to the hard work of Cherepovets chemists, the opening of this skating rink, this wonderful New Year’s infrastructure, became possible in 2023. Let everything be fine in the new year, so that Cherepovets chemists work just as hard and make our city more beautiful!” – Alexander Gilgenberg, General Director of Apatit JSC, congratulated the Cherepovsk residents.
Citizens will be able to play sports at the new skating rink, even when temperatures rise above zero. The ice surface is equipped with a cooling system, so it is expected that Cherepovets residents will be able to use the new facility until mid-March. You can visit the skating rink from 10.00 to 21.30. There are hour-long skating sessions with half-hour breaks.
The site welcomed its first guests on December 30. Moreover, all tickets for this day were sold out almost immediately. Most of them are distributed through the skating rink ticket agent, 30% through a special website.
The sports facility has already been visited by more than one and a half thousand Cherepovets residents and city guests.
