Chinese resident Guan Yue was employed by 16 different companies for three years and was so successful in creating the illusion that she was actively working in each of them that she continued to receive handsome salaries, reports scmp.com.
Instead of performing her duties, the woman sent out photographs in which she claimed to be meeting with clients. So she managed to earn 50 million yuan (about 673 million rubles) and buy a villa.
One of the bosses fired Yue’s entire group because the group was not performing effectively, and then, while working on the documents, he suspected her of fraud.
In China, at least 700-800 scammers work according to a similar scheme, according to the Chinese police.
