Voting in the Russian presidential elections has ended in the Far East. The polling stations in Chukotka and Kamchatka were the first to close at 11:00 Moscow time, and the last to close at 15:00 Moscow time were in the Republic of Buryatia.

“Voting is over. All polling stations – 810 permanent and 22 temporary – closed at 20:00 local time. Now the next stage begins – counting votes,” said the head of the Buryatia election commission, Alexander Akchurin.

It is noted that according to the regional election commission, at 10:00 Moscow time, the turnout of citizens for the elections was 67.82%. Residents of the Zakamensky district became the most active, where voter turnout was 94%.
