In Balakovo, Saratov region, police detained an observer from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation at one of the polling stations. The regional Ministry of Internal Affairs reported “Kommersant – Middle Volga”, that a protocol on discrediting the armed forces was drawn up against a 50-year-old citizen (Part 1 of Article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation). The case materials have been sent to court.

According to the head of the regional headquarters of the candidate from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Nikolai Kharitonov, State Duma deputy Olga Alimova, we are talking about Damir Khisyametdinov. According to the election commission of the Saratov region, members of PEC No. 510 witnessed a conversation between a certain journalist and an observer from the Communist Party. During the conversation, the latter allegedly “expressed his position, including on a special military operation.”

According to the election commission, it was the journalist who wrote the complaint to the police. Ms. Alimova, in a conversation with Kommersant, suggested that we could be talking about a provocation, and added that she does not yet know what exactly Mr. Khisyametdinov said.
