The fiancee of a citizen arrested for proposing on the subway had to spend the night in police custody

An ambiguous decision was made by the Ostankino court in connection with an unusual performance – a marriage proposal at a table with food and drinks on the platform of the VDNH metro station. Evgeniy’s romantic escapade was recognized as petty hooliganism. The guy was given five days of arrest, his companion Anna was given a 1,000 ruble fine. We found out what prompted the couple to go on such an exotic date and whether the beautiful story will have a continuation.

The details were told to us by the happy bride, who had already waited for the groom from places “not so distant.”

– Anna, how did it all happen?

– Zhenya gave me a surprise in the metro on November 7th. And on the evening of November 9, the police came to pick him up at work (Evgeniy and Anna work in the promotional industry). They took his phone and wanted to handcuff him, but when he promised that he wouldn’t run away, they left him alone.

And the police began to wait for me – I was leaving the office. And when she returned, they made an inventory of the property. Documents, maps, phones – everything was taken. They took us to the police station and prepared all the documents for the trial. But they didn’t accept us there because it was already late. It was scheduled for the next day.

We thought they would let us go home, but they left us at the station. They slept on chairs. A woman was watching us. At least they fed me.

– Did your family know where you were?

– My mother was at home, but it was not she who sounded the alarm, but my friends. They noticed that I had not been on social networks for a long time and became worried. They found me. Mom arrived at the station in the evening. She brought food, napkins, and hygiene items, but they didn’t let her in. And I didn’t even know she came.

– Was the police visit a surprise for you?

– When we were filming in the subway, not a single employee approached us. On the 8th, the employees who came to work with us explained that they had filed a complaint against us. We wrote explanations and were told to come to the department in the evening. But we didn’t come because we thought it was a joke or a scam…

– Who wrote the complaint?

– Don’t know. The police explained that we committed an offense and because of us their colleagues suffered. They were cursed at a lot because they did not stop us at the time of filming. And it’s our fault that we filmed in a public place and interfered with the passage of people. According to the law, the metro is a place of increased danger, and people could get scared and fall onto the tracks – although in our case everything happened in the center of the hall. As a result, Zhenya was arrested for four days as an organizer. And I’m just a participant, so they gave me a fine of 1000 rubles. I’ve already paid for it.

– Well, what next? Will there be a wedding?

– I hope if nothing happens. We planned in February, but have not submitted the application yet.

– You said “yes” to Evgeniy?

– Certainly

– How did he come up with the idea for the metro?

– He loves attention and decided to make such a gesture so that we both would be in the center of events… To receive compliments from the outside… But we didn’t think that it would all turn out like this.

– Why did you choose the VDNKh station?

– I live nearby there.

– Zhenya didn’t tell you the technical details? How did you get the table and food there?

– I don’t know. He was with a friend.

– Did he even come up with all this himself? Or were you hinting like a woman?

– Of course, I told him that if there is any such gesture, everything needs to be done brightly. But I didn’t expect it to be this much.

– So you were ready for him to propose?

– Well, I thought that someday this would happen. But that day, of course, I didn’t expect it.

– Everything is very spontaneous. They just got along in character. Zhenya did not wait long, he immediately made this decision… Although we have been communicating for about a year.

– Who did you study to be?

– Zhenya has a legal education, I am studying economics.
