The father of the Kazan shooter Galyaviev claims that his son disappeared in a colony

The child killer serving a life sentence has not been in contact for almost two months.

The father of Kazan shooter Ilnaz Galyaviev, who carried out a massacre in Kazan gymnasium No. 175 in May 2021, turned to human rights activists for help. According to him, for almost two months his son, sentenced to life imprisonment, has not been in touch and does not respond to letters.

As MK previously reported, in the summer Galyaviev was sent to serve his sentence in the Black Dolphin colony in the Orenburg region. His father went to see him on October 18. The meeting lasted 4 hours, during which the Galyavievs agreed to regularly exchange letters and call back – Ilnaz has the right to telephone conversations, like other prisoners. However, since then, Galyaviev Sr. has not received any news from his son. My father sent 7 letters, but received no response to any of them. Relatives are worried that something could have happened to their son, given that “Black Dolphin” is one of the strictest colonies for life prisoners. In particular, the father fears that new changes have occurred in his son’s psyche that pose a threat to his life, and he needs psychiatric help.

Let us remind you that as a result of an attack by 19-year-old Galyaviev on the gymnasium, which he had previously graduated from, 7 schoolchildren and two teachers were shot, 21 people were injured. Galyaviev was sentenced to life imprisonment, but his father continues to insist that his son is insane. The first examination confirmed this assumption, but a second examination in St. Petersburg proved that Galyaviev was sane at the time of the attack.
