Russian figure skater Roman Kostomarov took to the ice for the first time after amputation of his arms and legs. He posted footage from his skating training on his Telegram channel.

“As promised… I WENT ON THE ICE!!! I’m sharing with you a short excerpt from training,” Kostomarov wrote.

He added that as a child his parents saw his first steps on ice, and now, as he himself states, he is learning to skate again, and this step will be seen by the whole country.

Kostomarov also hinted that they were preparing to shoot a picture, but he did not specify which one: “The title is still a secret.” Moreover, everything has already been documented by the film crew. According to him, the premiere is expected on March 8.

Let us recall that Kostomarov was hospitalized with pneumonia on January 10, 2023 in extremely serious condition. For nine days he was connected to a ventilator and put into a medically induced coma. Due to deteriorating health conditions associated with circulatory problems, which caused problems with the small vessels of the fingers and toes, a decision was made to amputate the limbs.
