At the end of October, there were 24.8 thousand refugees from Ukraine, the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions in temporary accommodation centers (TAP) in Russia. This is reported by RBC with reference to data from regional authorities.
Information on the number of refugees in temporary temporary detention centers was provided by 45 regions. Of these, six (Amur, Irkutsk, Kemerovo, Kurgan, Novgorod, and Orenburg regions) stated that people did not arrive “en masse” and were not living in temporary temporary detention centers by the fall. The largest number of refugees – 4.7 thousand – were in 78 temporary temporary detention centers in the Voronezh region. About 3 thousand were stationed in the Rostov region, 2.4 thousand in the Krasnodar region, and just over 2 thousand in the Nizhny Novgorod region. Most of the TAP residents are families with children and single elderly people.
Bloomberg reportedthat 3.3 million refugees will most likely not return to Ukraine. According to the agency, the longer the conflict in Ukraine drags on, the less likely it is that citizens will be repatriated. European Commission offers extend the directive on temporary protection of Ukrainian refugees for another year. Within the framework of this directive, humanitarian assistance and social support are provided.
