At the Vostok training center in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, more than 300 athletes aged 14 to 16 years from several regions of the country gathered at the Far Eastern Federal District Sambo Championship. This was reported by the Ministry of Sports of the Sakhalin Region.
The fights took place on three mats. The Sambo wrestlers showed a high level of training.
“In their age and weight categories, the best among young men were Alexey Patreshov, Daniil Chaban, Anatoly Kuznetsov, Maxim Slyusarev, Timur Gumenyuk, Savely Semenyachenko, Grigory Suissi, Yan Khabarov and Bogdan Tyapshev,” the Ministry of Sports said in a statement.
Among the girls, awards were received by Alina Zaritovskaya, Ulyana Belokurova, Daria Sharapova, Anastasia Vlasyuk, Sofia Bevanova, Ekaterina Barabash, Olesya Budaeva, Anastasia Onuprienko and Veronika Makeeva.
The event took place on March 10 and 11. The results have only just been shared.
