Head of the city real estate department of NDV Supermarket Real Estate Elena Mishchenko in a conversation with the newspaper “News” said that Moscow residents began to more often buy secondary real estate in the Moscow region. She called this a natural consequence of rising key and mortgage rates.
The expert claims that about 10% of Moscow real estate buyers have reduced their requirements for the characteristics of objects. She clarified that they continued to purchase housing in Moscow, but with a smaller area, in less prestigious areas and at a greater distance from the metro.
As Mishchenko noted, another 15% of citizens reoriented themselves to the secondary real estate market in the Moscow region. According to the expert, this is due to the fact that the Russians were unable to meet the capital’s budget, even changing their own requests.
Analysts at NDV Supermarket Real Estate clarified that buyers prefer secondary properties in the Moscow region due to the lower cost, which ranges from 7.5 to 10 million rubles, which is almost half the cost of lots in the Russian capital.
