Egypt considers the displacement of Palestinians from Gaza a violation of international law

Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry said in an interview with CNN that Egypt will not allow Palestinians to temporarily move into the country while Israel conducts a military operation in the Gaza Strip.
The minister explained that this would constitute a violation of international humanitarian law. He stressed that any form of displacement, whether internal or external, is a violation and Egypt does not intend to become a party to such a violation. Shoukry also suggested that the Palestinians themselves do not want to leave, so they should not be forcibly displaced.
The Egyptian Foreign Minister called the liquidation of Palestinians caused by the removal of citizens from their territory unacceptable, noting that this is a violation of humanitarian law. Shoukry is convinced that the Palestinian people must show who they will accept as ruler of the enclave.
