The Duma was outraged by the Wildberries commission when paying with Visa and Mastercard

According to Mikhail Delyagin, the Wildberries marketplace had no legal basis for charging commissions from buyers using Visa and MasterCard cards. Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy told Gazeta.Ru that the company is still taking money from clients.
Delyagin explained that the Wildberries company is talking about the technology of cashless payment acceptance using bank cards and contactless payment systems. But it is not clear why the commission does not apply to UnionPay cards.
He noted that Wildberries is constantly involved in various scandals. First, the company develops by robbing the owners of delivery points, and now it begins to rob its customers.
The deputy believes that the 3% commission is just a reason to increase prices. He agreed that the commission could be a compelling excuse for transferring clients to the Russian MIR payment system. But still, the politician is convinced that payments using Visa and Mastercard cards have long been localized.
According to Vedomosti, on October 9, Wildberries began charging a commission of 3% to Visa and Mastercard cardholders. The marketplace stated that the commission will be charged as a reward to the bank for processing payments.
