Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy Alexander Khinshtein and head of the Security Committee Vasily Piskarev have prepared a bill that will allow the Russian Guard to create its own database on arms trafficking. Mr. Khinshtein reported this in his Telegram channel.
“The emergence of the GIS (Gosinformsystem. – Kommersant) will not only simplify the interaction of the Russian Guard with citizens and legal entities, but also increase control over the circulation of weapons and management of security service processes. In particular, data banks will be created in the areas of private security activities and private security,” the statement said.
Alexander Khinshtein added that the system will be certified by the FSB and FSTEC (service for technical and export control). Thanks to this, according to the deputy, it will be possible to avoid data leaks. He clarified that the Russian Guard is “one of the most “advanced” departments,” in which “98% of government services are provided remotely.”
The bill, as Mr. Khinshtein suggested, will be submitted for consideration tomorrow.
