According to Kommersant, the former first deputy of the FSB Directorate for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, Major General Andrei Lyapkin, was appointed head of the FSB Directorate for the Perm Territory. In this position, he will replace Major General Gennady Anatsky, who can head the FSB Directorate for the Republic of Dagestan.
Before his appointment to Crimea, Andrei Lyapkin served in the FSB directorate for the Kaliningrad region. Gennady Anatsky (then he had the rank of colonel) was appointed head of the FSB Directorate for the Perm Territory in October 2021. In 2022, by decree of the President of the Russian Federation, he was awarded the rank of major general.
