The Winter Solstice is celebrated under different names by many religions around the world. For example, in China the name of this holiday is translated as “The Pinnacle of Winter” and its date is associated with the astronomical solstice, which is celebrated on December 22 this year. It is from this day that the so-called “tail of the year” begins, when the “ruler” of this year, the Rabbit, begins to transfer its rights to the “ruler” of the next year – the Dragon.

And in shamanism today, December 21, is the big holiday of the “Cold Sun”, when, according to beliefs, the same luminary shines in our world as in the afterlife, where the spirits of our ancestors go. In the coming month they will be especially close to us, which means it’s time to establish contact with your ancestral spirits and ask them for advice. Esoteric consultant Ksenia Zelenaya told MK about this.

“The Winter Solstice Festival, although the darkest in terms of illumination, nevertheless marks the birth of a new Sun and the beginning of its gradual entry into force,” says Zelenaya. — In just a couple of days, daylight hours will begin to increase, and we can already assume that nature is slowly starting to turn towards spring. It may not be close yet, and there are several difficult months ahead, but the darkest period is already behind us, which means it’s time to worry about preparing the ground for prosperity in the new year.

— What can and cannot be done these days?

— During the “tail of the year” period – starting from today, December 21, and until February 10, 2024, you should absolutely not start something new, especially if there are unfinished past cases. To put everything in order, a “tail of the year” is given, which will last until February 10. It is on this day that a new ruler, the Green Wooden Dragon, will come into full force.

Try to bring started projects to their logical conclusion or at least a clear intermediate result. If possible, repay accumulated debts – both financial and moral. If something has been promised to someone for a long time, then this is the best time to take off the extra burden. By the way, do not forget about yourself in this process – repay the debt to your psychological and physical health and take care of what you have been putting off for a long time. — As for today’s holiday, this is a great time to launch favorable changes in your life. Prosperity comes to those who not only wait for it, but also actively prepare for its arrival.

In these and the next couple of days, it is important to carry out a good wet cleaning of the house and it is advisable to change old household items – replace them with fresh ones: washcloths, rags, towels and part with those that it is high time to get rid of. If you have something new in stock that you have been saving for a special occasion for a long time, then today, December 21, is a great day to get it and start using it with pleasure. It is also extremely favorable to arrange a festive family dinner and remember departed relatives with a kind word and gratitude. After all, only our ancestors stand as invisible support behind us and help us as best they can.
