The contractor was assigned five years in prison for unauthorized departure from the NMD to Tuva
The court appointed five years in prison to a contract soldier from Tuva, who arbitrarily left the combat zone in the LPR and went home to “rest”, informs Krasnoyarsk garrison military court on Tuesday.
According to the press service, in September last year, the private performed combat missions in one of the regions of the LPR as part of a special operation, but at some point, “wanting to rest,” he left the unit and went to Tuva. Only in November, he voluntarily came to the military commandant’s office of Kyzyl.
As noted, the serviceman was found guilty under Part 5 of Article 337 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, the young man was sentenced to five years in prison to be served in a general regime correctional colony. As a result of the announcement of the verdict, the private was taken into custody in the courtroom.
Currently, the verdict has not entered into force, it can be appealed.
