The city authorities will mark paid parking spaces with blue markings

In 2023, blue markings to indicate paid parking spaces appeared on 90 streets in Moscow, the Moscow Department of Transport reported. Now all paid zones will have this marking.
“With it, car owners can park their car correctly without unnecessary confusion, even if the sign with the type of parking is left behind,” the department explained.
Color markings to indicate paid places were introduced amendments to the relevant GOST from April 1, 2020 and changes in traffic rules from March 1, 2023.
It was previously used in St. Petersburg and Kazan; this is not an innovation.
