The cause of the leak on Soyuz MS-22 could be a micrometeorite hit

On the night of December 15, there was a depressurization of the outer radiator circuit of the Soyuz MS-22 spacecraft docked to the ISS. The outer casing of the instrument-aggregate compartment was damaged. It turned out that there was a leak in the radiator. Roskosmos reported that this could have happened due to a micrometeorite hitting it.
“The cause of the leak may be a micrometeorite entering the radiator and the possible consequences are a change in the thermal regime of the Soyuz spacecraft’s instrumentation and assembly compartment,” said Sergei Krikalev, executive director for manned programs at Roscosmos (RIA Novosti quote).
Because of the incident was cancelled exit of Russian cosmonauts Sergei Prokopiev and Dmitry Petelin from the board. Now all systems of the ISS and the ship are operating normally, the crew is safe.
To determine the cause of the leak, cosmonaut Anna Kikina, using a camera on a manipulator mounted on the Nauka laboratory module, took photos and videos of the outer surface of the spacecraft.
