YouTube will penalize offensive comments

YouTube video service updated policy on spam and insults in the comments – users will first be warned, and if they are violated again, they will be banned for a day. The new feature will only work in the English segment of the service for now.
If the system has deleted several user comments with insults, then a warning will be issued to the user, and in case of repeated violations, a 24-hour block will follow. According to YouTube, such measures help reduce the likelihood of repeating such user behavior.
The platform also reported that it removed over 1.1 billion spam comments in the first half of 2022. As the developers say, thanks to machine learning, YouTube services are learning to better recognize and delete such messages. Spam messages are destroyed not only in the comments under the videos, but also in live broadcast chats.
