The Cabinet of Ministers of the Russian Federation has simplified the procedure for insurance payments in the event of the death of military personnel

The Russian government has simplified the procedure for providing insurance payments in the event of the death of military personnel, and a period of 30 days is also set for the provision of insurance compensation. This was announced on Friday, August 11, in the press service of the Cabinet.

With the introduction of adjustments, in order to obtain insurance, it is enough to submit a certificate of the established form on the death of a serviceman, issued in a military unit. There is no need to wait for an official medical death certificate to be issued.

This also applies to relatives of servicemen who died during military training, and relatives of employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Russian Guard, the Federal Penitentiary Service and the fire service who died in the line of duty.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree that defines nature of insurance guarantees and compensations volunteers participating in a special military operation. The military, who perform the tasks of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, can count on additional guarantee payments in the event of death or injury. This provision also applies to a number of other situations.

New measures to support NWO participants are also being introduced at the regional level. A decision was made in Ugra support the guardians of the deceased participants of the NWO. If a soldier has no parents, spouse or children, then in the event of death, a payment in the amount of 3 million rubles will be due to the guardians who raised the citizen until the age of majority.
